Scierra is proud of this upgraded version of the well-proven Blackwater Waders. Produced using a heavy and hard-wearing five layer construction technique, Pro-Breathable waders have an exceptionally effective waterproof membrane. This sensitive membrane is covered on both sides with a tough and flexible coating, further protected by a closely woven and extremely strong micro-fibre material that is resistant to wear and tear. The way in which these waders have been designed and manufactured makes them extremely waterproof. They can meet a hydrostatic pressure of 10,000mm. At the same time the breathability is unbeatable, with 6,000gr/m2 , which is not exceeded by any other wader on the market.
The lower part of the legs and knees, the areas at risk from branches and thorn bushes, have been reinforced by an extra layer. We call it the "outer shell". The built-in gravel guards are made out of this hard-wearing material, too. They are constructed with an elastic edging that closes tightly around your wading shoes. The gravel guard is kept in position by a hook attached to the shoelaces and by a rubber band on the inner side of the guard. Blackwater has detachable suspenders, enabling you to roll down the upper part of the wader in the summer or when fishing from a boat. Built-in adjustable side straps are also included. The front pocket has been changed. It is now opened from the top of the wader and is 100 per cent waterproof. The stockings are made from neoprene where the joinings have been moved to the side of your foot so as not to bother while wading.
